A lance-wielding demon knight clad in crimson armor.
~ Description from Ritual of the Night

Zepar is an enemy in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Description[]

A stronger, more resilient and more aggressive version of the Lance Armor, now clad in crimson armor and bearing two horns on his helm. Zepar shares most of his moveset with his less powerful counterpart, although he has some moves of his own, like throwing his spear a great distance to deal with far away enemies (immediately spawning another one to replace it). Zepars are encountered in two of the later areas of the game, the Hidden Desert and the Inferno Cave.

Zepars can become especially annoying while exploring the larger rooms of the Inferno Cave; if the player is jumping around trying to fend off the many pesky Fire Elementals that inhabit this area, a Zepar below may detect them and unexpectedly thrust his spear upward from offscreen, potentially striking them and even making them fall into a nearby lava pool.

All Zepars in a room will spawn facing toward the side from which the player entered; so, if the player can find a way around them, they'll be able to catch them by surprise from the rearguard.
