Bloodstained Wiki

Versatile cloth made from sheep's wool that is cool in the summer and warm in winter.

Wool is a Material in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Description[]

The earliest point in the game where Wool can be acquired is by entering the Towers of Twin Dragons for the first time, where two fairly isolated Wolfmen can drop it at a 12% base rate. Collecting two Wool at this point in time will be quite beneficial because you can craft the excellent Polonaise body armor with them, and you can bring it to the fight with the Andrealphus boss shortly after your first visit to the Towers.

The next "official" source of Wool occurs only much later on in the Hall of Termination, where it can be found in blue chests and dropped by the Gamigin found in a hidden room near its warp point (as well as the first room of the zone on Hard difficulty). Gamigin can also be found in two connective screens in the upper reaches of Dian Cécht Cathedral, where blue chests can also hold Wool, and a dive kick-based sequence break that can be performed with Double Jump lets you reach that general region of the map as soon as you win that shard from Andrealphus. These Gamigins are easier to slay at a good pace so that they can drop Wool more often, and building up a stockpile of Wool lets you sell them for a helpful 960G per unit.

Broadly speaking, the other crafted items Wool is used up as a material for do not seem all that impressive or advantageous. While the Dragon Shoes will later become upgradable to the Hermes Shoes and then the legendary Hell's Knells, creating Dragon Shoes as a starting point will require Dragon Bones farmed at Hidden Desert (and Very Fine Equipment/R to be found in the Cathedral at a spot that requires another less-than-obvious dive kick-based sequence break to reach).

However, once you reach Hidden Desert, Wool's value as a recurring source of fairly easy money becomes especially prominent because it is also dropped by the Allocers in the zone, which are especially easy to farm. Allocers drop both Wool at a 10% base rate and the subsequent tier of textile, Silk, at a 5% base rate, and getting lots of both to drop is a good way to shore up your money reserves because they sell for 960G and 1,815G, respectively. Having high LCK and at least one Plunderer's Ring will make farming Allocers all the more consistently productive, and you can find a second Plunderer's Ring once you defeat the boss of Hidden Desert and head toward the far southwest exit of Forbidden Underground Waterway using the Deep Sinker shard.

Availability[]

Wool has a chance to spawn in blue chests within the Hall of Termination. It can also drop from the Gamigin (10.00%), Allocer (10.00%), and Wolfman (12.00%); one such Wolfman is at the base of the first tower in the Towers of Twin Dragons.

Usage[]

Like almost all Materials, Wool is only useful for crafting via Johannes's alchemy menu in Arvantville.

Crafting[]

Wool is one of the Materials required for crafting:

Wool is also required for crafting ingredients for the following:

Wool is not used in any Shard enhancements. It takes at least 7 Wool to craft and enhance everything in the game, with all seven being base ingredients.
