Wataru Takagi (高木 渉 Takagi Wataru?) (born July 25, 1966) is a Japanese actor and voice actor from Chiba Prefecture. He is affiliated with Arts Vision. He is best known for his roles in Ganju Shiba in Bleach, Genta Kojima and Wataru Takagi (named after him) in Detective Conan, Garrod Ran in After War Gundam X, Valgaav in Slayers Try, Cheetor in Beast Wars: Transformers, Eikichi Onizuka in Great Teacher Onizuka, Masaru Aoki in Hajime no Ippo, Obito Uchiha in Naruto, Nezumi Otoko in the fifth series of GeGeGe no Kitarō, Bunbee in Yes! PreCure 5, and Okuyasu Nijimura in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable. Takagi is the official Japanese voice of Daffy Duck.

He voiced Todd in the Japanese version of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Career[]

Wataru Takagi was a member of Katsuta Voice Actor's Academy.

In 2014, he performed the voice of John H. Watson in the puppetry Sherlock Holmes written by Kōki Mitani. Two years later, he played Oyamada Shigemasa in the NHK Taiga drama Sanada Maru through Mitani's connection. It was his first appearance in a television drama.

  • Wataru Takagi replaced Toshitaka Shimizu as the voice of Eddy in Cartoon Network bumpers. The Japanese dub of Ed, Edd n Eddy ended after two seasons because Shimizu committed suicide.
