The Warhorse's Room is a location in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. It is one of the four backer Secret Rooms in the game.
Overview[]
The door to the Warhorse's Room is found in the Garden of Silence, in the bottom-left corner of the very large room with the Coachman. Like all other backer rooms, it is initially locked behind a blue door and its key must be first found and used on it in order to gain access to it. The Warhorse's Key is found in the Glacial Tomb, the final area of the game, meaning that this room can only be entered during the final parts of the game.
Once its key has been procured and the player has entered the Warhorse's Room, they'll have to face the Revenant, an optional miniboss who presumably is the remains of a once heroic hero, but who is now possessed by evil. The room features a portal to another dimension on its back wall that has an intricate rotating multi-layered gate.
Gaining access to the Warhorse's Room and defeating the Revenant has the main purpose of having a chance of acquiring an Imbrued Skull, a material used for crafting advanced end-game weapons, and/or the Ruinous Rood shard. Additionally, defeating the Revenant is the requirement to complete Lindsay's "Avenge the death of Richter!" quest, which she rewards with the useful Bandit Blade that makes enemies have a higher chance to drop their items.
Zangetsu, Bloodless, and Aurora can all enter the Warhorse's Room and fight the Revenant without a key. In Bloodless's campaign, the room contains a shard of Blood of Brutality. She can take it as soon as she enters the room, but she must defeat the Revenant to leave.
Trivia[]
- This room is a backer reward from the Kickstarter campaign of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
- It is one of the four backer Secret Rooms in the game, along with the Carpenter's Room, Millionaire's Room and Celeste's Room.
- The portal from where the Revenant emerges is almost identical to the one where the Doppelganger comes out in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, being a gate made of several layers that each starts rotating and opening successively until a portal to another dimension is revealed.
