A ring that increases attack power in proportion to how much of the map you have completed.

The Traverser's Ring is an Accessory in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Description[]

Wearing the Traverser's Ring will boost the player's Attack (ATK) power the more they have uncovered from the entire game's map (Map Completion can be consulted on the Archives menu, under Personal Data). This means that the ring will only start to become useful during the more advanced areas of the game, when the player has already reached a high map rate completion; and likewise, it will likely be outclassed by most other attack boosting accessories during the early parts of the game. However, once the ring has started giving its boosts, it will become one of the best accessories to equip in the game, and which will gradually keep increasing its power the more areas the player traverses.

The Traverser's Ring only drawback is that if the player eventually uncovers 100% of the map, it won't be able to increase its power anymore. This is more notorious near the end of the game, as depending on how many enemies the player has defeated, the Silver Power Ring may become even more powerful than the Traverser's Ring, rendering the latter obsolete.

Availability[]

  • Livre Ex Machina: From the Warp Room that is above Orlok Dracule's library, pass through the mini-labyrinth by usage of the Reflector Ray, and in the next room head upward two rooms. In the large room with the moving buzzsaws and bookshelves, head left into a room with a Dragon. The Traverser's Ring is uncovered by destroying the upper left wall that is above the nearby green chest; to reach it, aim the Reflector Ray toward the ledge with this wall, activate it, and then jump at the precise moment Miriam exits the beam to perform a midair jump and reach the ledge.
  • Forbidden Underground Waterway: In the large room with many exits (two at the top, the left which leads back to the Entrance) that is located near the top of this area, exit through the upper-right exit (not the top one) to enter a room with an Archdemon guarding a green chest containing the ring.

Notes[]

  • These rings are stackable, meaning that wearing two of them will further increase the player's offensive potential.
  • Caps at 100.00% Map Completion.
  • The ATK increase given by the ring is proportionate to the player's current equipped weapon, meaning that it generally gives less ATK increase with weaker weapons, and more ATK increase with stronger weapons (around ATK 40+ at 100.00% Map Completion).
