The Tome Scrap is a Material in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Description[]

The lowest "big room" in Livre Ex Machina is the only area that contains Dantalions, which drop the Familiar: Dantalion shard. They are also the only source of Tome Scraps (dropped at a 6% base rate), which you will need a total of eight of in order to rank Familiar: Dantalion all the way to Rank 9 (thus building it up as a "more powerful familiar"). Three Tome Scraps are needed to elevate its Rank to 4, and three more Tome Scraps and three Sinister Hearts are needed to reach Rank 7; you can collect them from Demons (4%) such as the one in lower Dian Cécht Cathedral and, coincidentally, in the hallway immediately underneath the Dantalion room. However, the familiar shard will remain capped at Rank 7 all the way to the very end of the game, where you can encounter Demon Lords and get them to drop Fiend Hearts (2%); two Fiend Hearts and two Tome Scraps will be needed to top Familiar: Dantalion off.

Some time later, finding Fine Equipment/R lets you craft the Witch's Hat out of a Tome Scrap, a Hemp (a rather early material dropped by Barbatos), and a Witch's Tears (dropped by Cyhyraeth). While that caster-focused headgear features less DEF and INT than the Diabolist's Cap that can be found shortly beforehand in upper Livre Ex Machina, its 20% increase to your passive MP regeneration makes that a worthwhile item regardless.
