Theurgia is a location in Classic II: Dominique's Curse. It is the second town explored and connects to the Abyssal Path to the left, the Maw of Ouroboros to the lower right, and the Bog of Mourning to the upper right.

Description[]

In comparison to the earlier Goetia, Theurgia is built more vertically and consists of several tiers connected by stairs. The town's Temple is located at the bottom and contains a Horus Eye inside a chest.

As with all other towns in Limbo, the demons in Theurgia are docile during the New Moon but either vanish or turn hostile to Dominique during the Dead Moon. The local Merchant sells her the Bandage and Ward, which increase the length and power respectively of her main attack, as well as the Bone Arc and Shield Shards. After the Master Carpenter is defeated in the Stygian Marsh, he will relocate to this town and give Dominique Coins in exchange for demon Remains.

Dialogue[]

Red text is presented as such by the True Sight.

  • Lili: "One thing you can count on here in Limbo, is demons always lie." (followed by laughter)
  • Assassin: "Time passes differently here. We have the New Moon, which is like day. And the Dead Moon, which is like night."
  • Sabnock: "A shard called True Sight will obfuscate falsehoods." (followed by laughter)
  • Sabnock: "Every dungeon is maintained by a Groundskeeper. They patrol the grounds during the New Moon, and may exchange Remains for Coin.".
  • Rul'sha: "Hunters come out at night. Be really careful; you don't wanna mess with them."
  • Assassin: "The merchant in Paulina is a real odd duck. He's obsessed with comfort food, which isn't easy to come by."
  • Rul'sha: "Poison can be cured by Potions or Ofuda. One refills HP while the other lets you avoid damage altogether."
  • Rul'sha: "Megiddo is a cursed place, where twin spirits led ships to ruin. Do not let them drag you beneath the waves..." (followed by laughter)
  • Merchant: "Sometimes demon hunters end up in Limbo. At least they leave behind some interesting shards when they pass."
  • Master Carpenter: "I'm not interested in a rematch. But if you've got Remains you aren't using..."

  1. The lower-right path leads through the Maw of Ouroboros to the Infernal Fortress and Tartarus. The upper-right path leads through the Bog of Mourning to the Clockwork Nightmare and the town of Paulina. These paths can be explored in either order, but the player ultimately must find Omurice in Tartarus and bring it to the Merchant in Paulina in order to progress through the game.
