A battle-of-the-bands guitarist who melts faces, both literally and figuratively.
~ Description from Ritual of the Night

Tamako-Death is an enemy in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Description[]

Tamako-Death looks like a normally-sized human woman. She has long brown hair, a slightly tan skin tone, a red dress, black leggings and black boots with heels. Her guitar is almost entirely black with red accents.

Tamako-Deaths are generally immobile save for an instance where one is encountered riding around on a Triwheel Buer. It is easily determined if one is present as the background music will fade out and be replaced by their own theme which consists of guitar riffs.

It takes some time for a Tamako-Death to actually start any kind of attack, and it is readily possible to kill one before she does anything. She has two attacks: one where she lifts the neck of the guitar to produce an arcing flame attack, and the other where she lowers the neck of the guitar to produce a stream of fire as she spins around.

Trivia[]

  • This enemy is apparently a reference to BABYMETAL, a Japanese female kawaii metal band.
  • When defeated, Tamako-Death smashes her guitar to the ground during her dying animation.
  • Tamako-Deaths are affected by the Slow condition, but their music will continue to play at the same speed even as their hand movements slow down.
