The Sukiyaki is a Food item in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Availability[]
Sukiyaki is prepared through Johannes' alchemy menu in Arvantville, requiring G-Bone Steak ×4, Moco Leek ×4, Soy Sauce ×2, and Sugar ×2. Meat Dish/R would also need to have been retrieved from above the Sabnock chamber in the Entrance zone (requires Double Jump-kicking). After Sukiyaki is first prepared, it will be sold at Dominique's supply post for 1,680G.
Moco Leek is a common drop from Moco Weed in Garden of Silence, Sugar is store-bought, and G-Bone Steaks drop from Celaeno and Ocypete (both 8%); the Celaeno can be reached shortly after Double Jump is gotten because it is found in the later portions of the Towers of Twin Dragons. Compared to all of these ingredients, the Soy Sauce is presented as exclusive to the late-game because it can only spawn in the blue chests in the late-game zone, Oriental Sorcery Lab.
However, Soy Sauce can be acquired by dismantling a Uni Rice Bowl awarded by a very early quest from Lindsay and then crafting a meal that requires it to add that meal to Dominique's Shop. That way, more Sukiyaki can be prepared earlier than intended.
Usage[]
Sukiyaki is a food consumable, restoring 420 HP whenever used and giving a permanent bonus of +1 STR and +3 MND when first eaten. It costs and restores 68% more than the High Potion, and because it is a meal, up to 99 of it can be carried at a time.
If you are doing the "early Soy Sauce trick," all the other ingredients, as well as the recipe book itself, are collectable once you have gotten the Double Jump. This means that you can immediately cook this "late-game meal" and enjoy its STR and MND bonuses for a massive additional swath of the game's overall playtime.
Sukiyaki is also required for Susie's twentieth quest, "Craving a Beef Hot Pot", which rewards you with an 8-bit Nightmare material.
