The Strawberry Au Lait is a Drink item in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Availability[]
Strawberry Au Lait is prepared through Johannes' alchemy menu in Arvantville, requiring 1 Strawberry and 1 Beast Milk and also requiring Drink/R to have been found in the upper part of Livre Ex Machina (the part of the zone that requires getting the Reflector Ray shard at the Underground Sorcery Lab roughly halfway through the game). After Strawberry Au Lait is first prepared, it will be sold at Dominique's supply post for 500G.
Strawberries are first dropped by Celaeno at a 10% rate in the Double Jump-accessible portion of Towers of Twin Dragons, and they can also be dropped at a 12% rate by Tamako-Deaths in the same general region of Livre Ex Machina as the Drink/R recipe book itself. Beast Milk is dropped by Zagan at an 8% rate in the eastern part of Garden of Silence passed through earlier.
The recipe book can be gotten early through the sequence break in the Cathedral zone that allows the player to use the Double Jump (gotten earlier in lower Livre Ex Machina) to jump-kick off the purple lanterns near the west Reflector Ray panels. This, however, requires beating the tough Bloodless boss early to access the upper cathedral's eastern exit into the upper part of Livre Ex Machina. If you manage this feat, the Tamako-Deaths that drop Strawberries even more easily than the Celaenos will be nearby.
Usage[]
Strawberry Au Lait is a drink consumable, restoring 150 MP whenever used and giving a permanent bonus of 1 extra MP restored per second during MP Quickcharge state when first drunk. It costs and restores the exact same amount as the High Ether, and because it is a drink, up to 99 of it can be carried at a time.
This is a recipe purely dependent on dropped items that you do not have to spend money amassing every time you want to craft this drink, so you can hypothetically spend a lot of time farming loads of Strawberries and Beast Milks from Celaenos/Tamako-Deaths and Zagans and combining them into Strawberry Au Laits. The Apple Juice is in a similar position as a drink you can create in bulk to end up with Ether-style restoratives without paying money, though the Apple Juice restoring only 90 MP might make ignoring that worthwhile.
Farmed Strawberry Au Laits can be useful up until you reach the Hidden Desert, where you can get both the main ingredient and the recipe book for the ideal MP-restoring drink by far, the Nectar.
