The Steel Breastplate is a Body Armor in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
The Steel Breastplate may be considered to be the third tier of the basic metal armors, above the Bronze Chestguard and the Iron Breastplate. It gives a decent DEF +18.
It is rarely dropped by the Shield Outsider, although at 4% rate chance, it may not take long until this enemy drops a few of these. The first Shield Outsider can be reached as soon as the player acquires the Double Jump shard (after defeating Andrealphus in the Livre Ex Machina). Head back to the Entrance; in the third room (the one with the first Sabnock and a chandelier hanging above), climb up the platforms to the floor above, and from there jump kick on the Aello to reach the higher ledges; then head left and jump kick on the Cyhyraeth to reach yet another high ledge on the right and finally reach the room with the Shield Outsider (along an Axe Outsider and a Bloodbringer) and farm it for the Steel Breastplate.
Besides its use as protective gear, a few Steel Breastplates are recommended to keep in the player's inventory, as they can be used to enhance the Resist Strike, Resist Slash and Resist Thrust shards to their two final Ranks and turn them into useful Skill Shards.
