| “ | The fang of an unusually cruel demon. | „ |
The Sinister Fang is a Material in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
The Demon that drops the Sinister Fang first appears shortly before the boss in the earlier, lower region of Dian Cécht Cathedral, and it drops the fang with a fairly high 10% base rate. It can also be dropped by the Puppy that appears not long afterward in the west end of the Bridge of Evil, though it only drops with an 8% base rate in that case.
However, the only use you will find for it for most of the game is that it can be used to advance through the middle three ranks of the Summon Gieremund conjure shard dropped by the earlier Gieremund enemy, used up in conjunction with the Demon Dog Fang that the Gieremund itself drops. Each rank increases the time allotted for the friendly Gieremund to run forward and damage enemies it passes through.
It would be ideal to have amassed a stockpile of eight Sinister Fangs by the time you reach the Den of Behemoths very close to the end of the game because the Marbas enemy drops the only other shard the fangs can be used to enhance, the passive shard Drain. The middle three ranks each take a Monster Fang from a Buer (also in the Cathedral) and a Monster Blood from a Simian (in the Garden of Silence), and the last two ranks take a Fiend Heart from a Demon Lord in the final zone of the game. Only by that point will Drain's skill shard clone be created, and by that point its HP-restoring effect will be optimized in terms of value; collecting all possible grades separately enhances the trigger chance of the drain effect.
