Shovel Armor is an enemy in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.[1]
Background[]
Initially drawn up as "fanart" of the character Shovel Knight by Yuji Natsume, it was confirmed that after speaking with Yacht Club Games, developers of the Shovel Knight video game, Inti Creates was able to obtain permission to use the concept art in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
Shovel Armor is encountered as an enemy in the sewers. The player can take its appearance when equipping the Ex Shovel Armor, which he also drops. While in this mode, their move set becomes nearly identical to the enemy character.

Trivia[]
- The ability to don this enemy's armor to take his form and have access to both his moveset and attacks is likely based on the Old Axe Armor from the Castlevania series, whose armor could also be worn in certain games to become said enemy.
