Bloodstained Wiki

A pelagic multiped that occasionally leaves the sea to torment the land.
~ Description from Ritual of the Night

Seama is an enemy in the Bloodstained series.

Description[]

The Seama is a slimy tentacled creature that resembles an octopus, with a main tentacle making for its body and smaller ones that make for the arms. One of its most distinctive features is that it has a large, human-like mouth that runs along its head, with equally human-like teeth, but other than that, the rest of the head doesn't have any other particular features like eyes, nose or ears.

This creature paces slowly around and attacks by either spewing a bouncing ball of water via its trademark Cerulean Splash ability, or by performing a long jump forward, using its main tentacle in a stabbing manner to try to land on the player.

A Seama is the very first enemy encountered in the game, appearing during the introductory dialogue between Miriam and Johannes, where the former has to defeat it, obtaining the Cerulean Splash in a scripted event as the very first Shard Miriam absorbs in the game (not counting other Shards she already starts with that were added in later updates to the game).

At one point while exploring the Galleon Minerva, Vepar can be seen breaking a hole on the ship's hull and spewing three energy balls inside from the head on its belly which then transform into three Seamas, hinting these creatures to be her progeny. Likewise, Vepar can periodically spawn a couple of Seamas in the same manner to aid her during her boss battle.

A later enemy, the Deeseama, is an advanced version of the Seama, although it is exclusively encountered in underwater areas.
