The Scarlet Dress is a Body Armor in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Description[]

The Scarlet Dress gives a very good DEF rating of 41. Its INT +8 bonus will significantly increase the player's magical damage output, and its MND +10 bonus affords additional protection against magical attacks.

However, its main drawback is that the Materials to craft it includes one Dragon Heart dropped by the Abyssal Guardian, squarely restricting its availability to the endgame, where many players will likely prefer to craft a Coronation Gown for its more balanced array of offensive and defensive boosts. Even then, less invested players may find the Shinobi Garb to be plenty sufficient for the endgame.

In a rare scenario that most players will neither encounter by chance nor go out of their way to trigger, it is possible for the one-time-only boss fight with an Abyssal Guardian that takes place in Livre Ex Machina to drop a Dragon Heart. This is especially lucky because it effectively allows you to acquire a Scarlet Dress once you have reached Hidden Desert, where Allocers can drop the Silk needed to craft the Silk Dress used as a base. By that point, the only other materials needed to upgrade it into a Scarlet Dress are Demon Hearts dropped by Archdemons in various locations and the Queen's Tears dropped by the Tamako-Death in Livre Ex Machina (and Lamashtu later on). In this case, the Scarlet Dress is an ideal armor to wear up until the other aforementioned endgame-tier armors become available.
