~ Description from Ritual of the Night |
Rul'sha is an enemy in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
Rul'sha looks almost entirely like a human female in all except her dark eyes and bat-like wings on her back. She has tan skin and light gray hair, and wears a white leotard with thigh-high stocking and knee-high boots. Her belt appears to have a mouth-shaped buckle, and her whip has a pink handle with golden spikes.
Appearances[]
Ritual of the Night[]
Rul'sha is unlike many enemies in the game, as she won't initially attack the player. If the player waits in a room with Rul'sha long enough, she will bless the player with a temporary stat boost before warping away. If the player chooses to attack her, Rul'sha will begin to float around the room and attack with her whip. Familiars will attack her on sight, but she won't turn hostile until the player attacks her. Her moral stance is unusual in that she will bless both heroic humans and malevolent demons such as Bloodless.
She is a good source of useful items. She drops Lemons (at 8% rate, which is double than an Aello), which can be used to prepare certain foods that raise LCK and MP Quickcharge, as well as the Flame Whip, but most importantly, she also drops Rubies, materials that can be used to craft the Flame Ring and the Flame Circlet, both items which are needed to complete two of Abigail's quests, and which are also useful by themselves both to deal and reduce Fire damage.
Classic II: Dominique's Curse[]
Rul'shas are among the "civilized" demons that live in the towns of Goetia, Theurgia, and Paulina. Dominique Baldwin can speak to them for information or advice. During the Dead Moon, Rul'shas fly wildly around her and shoot purple fireballs.
Dialogue[]
The following quotes are spoken by different Rul'shas in Classic II: Dominique's Curse. Red text is presented as such by the True Sight.
- Goetia
- "Demons in towns are more civilized, so a human like you should be safe. ...Until the Dead Moon that is. We all lose our heads a bit during that phase."
- "At the far end of Tartarus, stretch up real tall to reach the crypt below." (followed by laughter)
- This is false. Dominique must actually crouch there for a few seconds.
- Theurgia
- "Hunters come out at night. Be really careful; you don't wanna mess with them."
- "Poison can be cured by Potions or Ofuda. One refills HP while the other lets you avoid damage altogether."
- "Megiddo is a cursed place, where twin spirits led ships to ruin. Do not let them drag you beneath the waves..." (followed by laughter)
- This is bad advice. To progress, Dominique must actually equip the Deep Sinker and dive through the water, which will take her to the Lethe Cavern.
- Paulina
- "A hunter called the Master Carpenter stalks prey in the Stygian Marsh. If you haven't seen him... he's seen you."
