“ | Conjure a column of flame. | „ |
Riga Storӕma is a Conjure Shard in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
Riga Storӕma by default creates a broad, tall column of flames that persists for a short time and deals Fire damage to enemies caught in it, in the same manner as the fire column attack used by Nyabons, Fire Elementals and Ninjas. The column is created just in front of Miriam's location, though there must be a valid location near her vertical level in order for it to appear. The Shard costs 30 MP per use.
Increasing the Shard's Grade improves its damage output.
Ranking up Riga Storӕma increases the number of fire columns it creates by one per Rank, up to a maximum of nine, with no increase to the Shard's MP cost. The additional columns appear forward of the first one, slightly spaced from one another in the manner of a typical fighting game "ground crawler" attack. Creating multiple columns requires a continuous horizontal surface large enough to accommodate them: if the Shard is used on a surface that is too small, only those columns that will fit will appear. When fully leveled, Riga Storӕma's effect is significantly larger than a single screen, allowing Miriam to move some distance forward before leaving its effect.
It is one of the best area-denial weapons in the game, able to set up damaging barriers against skittish enemies like Ghosts and Amys even when not leveled, while fully leveled it can easily fill an entire corridor, preventing enemies like Bats from attacking and dealing with small targets like Simians and Toads very effectively. When upgraded, large enemies like the Dragon, Living Fossil and Abyssal Guardian will be hit by multiple columns at the same time, dealing a lot of damage. Since the fire columns do not affect Miriam at all and remain in place for some time, this also allows her to attack with her own weapons while the Shard is in play.
All levels of upgrade to Riga Storӕma require Rubies, which are not particularly hard to come by: they are dropped by Buer Armor (5.00%), Rul'sha (5.00%), and Fire Elementals (12.00%), and are among the randomized items found in blue chests in the Towers of Twin Dragons. Harder to acquire is the Gold required for the final two upgrades (see the Gold page for suggestions).
Acquiring a Riga Storӕma unlocks the ability to craft instances of the Directional Shard Riga Dohin using 1 Ruby. As with all crafted Shards, making a Riga Dohin does not expend the Riga Storӕma used to make it, only the additional material.
Availability[]
- Dropped by:
- Nyabon (5.00%)
Riga Storӕma is dropped by Nyabon, the lowest-level variant of the giant cat-demon enemy found at the Entrance and the Dian Cécht Cathedral. It has a base drop rate of 5.00%.
One of the best places to acquire the Shard is the corridor at the bottom-left of the room in the Dian Cécht Cathedral that has Todd's room at the top-left and the Warp Room at the top-right. This corridor contains only a single Nyabon in the middle.
Enhancements[]
Rank: Increases the number of projectiles cast at once.
Rank | Ingredients |
---|---|
2, 3, 4 | Ruby ×1 |
5, 6, 7 | Ruby ×2 |

Trivia[]
- Patch 1.04 slightly nerfed Riga Storӕma by decreasing the base ATK of the Shard from 28 to 24.
