The Riding Habit is a Body Armor in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
An average Body Armor that only gives DEF +20 and CON +2. While this is decent for physical protection, the player will likely already have better armor pieces in their inventory once they find it in the Towers of Twin Dragons prior to the Valac boss encounter. Case in point, it is possible to craft the superior Silver Breastplate before even fighting Craftwork significantly earlier in the game.
Even with that aside, the Durable Rag needed to craft the Riding Habit yourself only starts becoming available from Assassin enemies that only appear on the Bridge of Evil train ride and the station right afterward. This means you won't be able to craft one early even if you reach the upper section of the Dian Cécht Cathedral early through a sequence break allowed by jump-kicking the lanterns, where the Gamigins can drop the other required materials: Hellhorse Hoof and Hellhorse Mane.
Ironically, the free Riding Habit you can find in the Towers is more valuable for the fact you can dismantle it to get a Durable Rag before starting the train sequence. This lets you craft an early Bunny Ears as a head armor with a useful +5 LCK boost. Alternatively, you can use the aforementioned sequence break to reach Very Fine Equipment/R in the Cathedral much earlier than normal and use up the Durable Rag on the Gunslinger's Hat, which offers a good mix of DEF and STR even if you don't plan on using its firearm-enhancing effect.
