The incisors of a giant rat.

The Rat Teeth are a Material in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Description[]

The Giant Rats under Arvantville (as well as west of Arvantville's hub in the Hard difficulty) drop both Rat Teeth and the Summon Rat conjure shard at the same 4% base rate. Each of the shard's eight ranks can be advanced through by spending one Rat Teeth, and the middle three stages additionally require one Rat Tail each; these are also dropped by the Giant Rat, and at an ironically more generous 10% base rate. The final two ranks instead take Demon Tails dropped by Archdemons found throughout the game's later stages. Each rank increases both the duration of the damaging Giant Rat that Miriam summons and the number of smaller rats it explodes into once it reaches the end of that duration.

It is technically possible to craft a Tattered Scarf out of one Rat Teeth and one Cotton, but this is pointless because a free Tattered Scarf can be found in Galleon Minerva, and the Tattered Scarf does not take part in any other crafts or enhancements.

One set of Rat Teeth is also an incidental material used in the crafting of Toy Shoes, which take two Hemp dropped by the early-game Barbatos and one Durable Leather dropped by the Decarabia in the east part of Forbidden Underground Waterway. Crafting Toy Shoes is not recommended because a "free" pair is awarded by Abigail for completing her fifth quest, which is to submit a Rhava Búral dropped by a Killer Barber (4%) in early Dian Cécht Cathedral. Furthermore, the two Hemp that you would have to give up to craft Toy Shoes yourself would be much more useful being sold for an impressive 375G each. That pair of Toy Shoes can then be upgraded into a pair of Bunny Boots by using materials dropped by the Lili at the west end of the Bridge of Evil (Lili Tails and Lili Ears).

Availability[]

Only one enemy drops Rat Teeth: the Giant Rat, who have a 4.00% chance to drop it on defeat. They are found solely in Arvantville; two can be found underneath the path leading to the Entrance.

Usage[]

Like almost all materials, Rat Teeth are only useful for crafting via Johannes' Alchemy menu in Arvantville.

Rat Teeth are one of the materials required for crafting:

Rat Tails are also required for crafting ingredients for the following:

Rat Teeth can be used to enhance the following Shards:

It takes at least 10 Rat Tails to craft and enhance everything in the game, with all ten being base ingredients.
