Bloodstained Wiki

A liquid imbued with powerful sorcery.

The Queen's Tears is a Material in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Description[]

The Queen's Tears can first be acquired by reaching the later, upper regions of Livre Ex Machina over halfway through the game, where it can drop from the Tamako-Death at a 5% base rate. Much later, it can drop from the Lamashtu in the Secret Sorcery Lab at a slighty preferable 6% base rate.

If you farm a stockpile of Queen's Tears from the Tamako-Death, you will be able to advance to the final rank of the Pickpocket passive shard dropped by the Gusion as early as Livre Ex Machina's lower reaches, which increases the shard's added potential to get gold to appear as you attack enemies. All eight ranks require one Lili Tail each (dropped by the Lilis at the west end of the Bridge of Evil), and the middle three ranks additionally require one Witch's Tears each (which are dropped by Cyhyraeths throughout the game). When this reaches Rank 9, you will gain the skill shard clone of Pickpocket and be able to enjoy its item-generating and gold-generating benefits for the rest of the game.

On the subject of the Cyhyraeth, the Witch's Tears farmed from it is used in all eight ranks of its own Death Cry conjure shard (thus increasing its coverage), and three additional Queen's Tears will allow you to increase its rank from 4 to 7 in particular. Two Queen's Tears can also be used to reach Rank 9 for the Thrashing Tentacle conjure shard dropped by the Vepar boss at the start of the game, which will allow its screen-spanning attack to feature four tentacles at once.

When it comes time to make use of the Aqua Stream directional shard dropped by the Deeseama in Forbidden Underground Waterway to travel underwater southeast to the Hidden Desert, you can farm a total of eight units of Aquatic Blood from both the Deeseama and Scylla enemies in the area to increase the width of the water spray attack. The final two ranks will additionally require one unit of Queen's Tears each.

In the Hidden Desert itself, you can craft Silk Dress out of dropped Silk materials courtesy of the local Allocers. An endgame-tier counterpart to the Silk Dress, the Scarlet Dress, is craftable using one Queen's Tears, two Demon Hearts dropped from Archdemons, and one Dragon Heart dropped by the Abyssal Guardian in the late-game Den of Behemoths. (If you were lucky enough to get a Dragon Heart to drop from the Abyssal Guardian that appears as a one-time-only boss encounter in Livre Ex Machina, the Scarlet Dress can be crafted right away.)

Finally, a boss battle fought in the last zone in the game will award the Dimension Shift shard that is required to traverse obstacles needed to reach the final boss. You can increase the travel range of this shard by using all three "Tear-series materials" to enhance it; bringing it up to rank 9 will require three Monster Bird Tears, three Witch's Tears, and two Queen's Tears.

If you have the paid DLC "Magical Girl Cosmetic Pack" installed, the final stage of the Miri Dress can be crafted as early as Hidden Desert. Its fourth version can be upgraded to its fifth version using Platinum and the aforementioned silk, and it can reach its sixth and final version using three materials you would have already had access to earlier: a Queen's Tears, two more Demon Hearts, and two Demon Pelts (another drop from Gusions). It results in a body armor with amazingly high INT and MND values.
