The Pirate Hat is a Head Armor in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
The Pirate Hat is a good Head Armor to wear during the initial parts of the game. It gives a decent DEF +3, but most importantly, it gives a LCK +2 boost, being one of the first notable sources of LCK available to the player. Additionally, it gives a modest STR +1 - these latter two stats combined make the Pirate Hat a recommendable headgear to wear for casual exploration, as besides slightly increasing the player's physical damage output, it will also make enemies have a greater chance to drop their items and shards (that is, until the player can find its immediate LCK outclassing piece, the Santa Hat).
The Pirate Hat can be crafted on the player's first visit to Arvantville, as both required materials to craft it, Writhing Limb and Cotton, are easily obtainable in the first stage of the game (otherwise, Cotton can be purchased from Dominique for 600G).
A free Pirate Hat can be found inside a green chest in the uppermost-right room of the Galleon Minerva (above the final Dullahammer of this area). This room can be reached by jumping off the slanted mast and "gliding" with the Flashing Air Kick. It can also be reached after acquiring the Double Jump shard by double jumping and then jump-kicking on Buer/Bu-chan to reach the ledge above; however, by this point, the player will likely already obtained better LCK-producing headgear (like the Santa Hat).
