The Passplate is a Key Item in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. It gives access to the boarding station in the Bridge of Evil.

Usage[]
The Passplate is used to open the electronic gate in the Bridge of Evil and with this gain access to the boarding area to take the train to the Underground Sorcery Lab. It is a Key Item, meaning that it doesn't have any other use than to let the player progress with the game's story. Still, precisely for this reason, it becomes an important plot item which leads the player to carry on a series of tasks in order to obtain it, the main being defeating Valac in the Towers of Twin Dragons to get the Silver Bromide; then bring this item to Dominique in Arvantville so she can take a photo of Miriam and create the Identification, which then must be brought to Orlok Dracule in his study in the Livre Ex Machina to finally obtain the Passplate from him.
