Appearances[]
Ritual of the Night[]
The Ninja is effectively an upgraded form of the Assassin enemy that inhabits the Oriental Sorcery Lab.
Among the attacks the Ninja possesses are:
- Casts pillars of flame (not unlike Nyabon's Riga Storӕma) that appear wherever Miriam is currently standing. This is one of his most frequent attacks.
- Throws a series of fast-traveling shurikens (usually three) wherever Miriam is currently positioned.
- Charges at Miriam at great speed. This move is sometimes accompanied by the Ninja slashing with his weapon.
- Can cling onto the ceiling to silently approach.
Alarms consisting of a rope with clackers attached can be found near to them in some areas. In these areas, the Ninjas start out idle but will become aggressive if Miriam or any other enemy trips the rope.
Ninjas drop the Shinobi Garb, a body armor garment that provides notable defensive and offensive stat boosts, and also has a good sell price at the supply post if multiple copies of it are obtained. They also drop the rare Crimsonite material.
Classic II: Dominique's Curse[]
Ninjas are among the "civilized" demons that inhabit the towns of Almadel and Notoria. Dominique Baldwin can speak to them for information or advice. During the Dead Moon, Ninjas run and jump in an attempt to get close enough to slash at her with their weapons. If she is too far away, they will instead throw shurikens in a straight line. Ninjas mostly show themselves indoors, though they may also appear from the shadows outdoors.

Dialogue[]
The following quotes are spoken by different Ninjas in Classic II: Dominique's Curse. Red text is presented as such by the True Sight.
- Almadel
- "Hunters are powerful opponents, and it's best to avoid them. Nothing good will come of a battle." (followed by laughter)
- Hunters are minibosses, but defeating them is beneficial and is even mandatory in some cases. After their defeat, Dominique often earns Shards that serve as weapons or movement tools, while the Hunters themselves relocate to towns where they will exchange Remains for Coin. Defeating all Hunters is necessary to obtain the True Ending.
- "The Cocytus Ridge stretches across the center of Limbo. Not many demons know that."
- Notoria
- "One Killer Barber proved so deadly, he became a Hunter. He never strays far from the Duke's fortress." (followed by laughter)
- The Killer Barber spoken of here is the Hunter Barber, who is found in the River of Woe. The closest Duke of Hell to him is Gremory, who resides in the Furnace of Dis four areas away.
- "At the River of Woe, the moon governs more than just demon behavior."
