The libation of the gods. Grants immortality and staves off wrinkles.

The Nectar is a Drink item in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

In Classic II: Dominique's Curse, instead of a drink, the Nectar functions in the same way as the HP Max Up, permanently extending the max HP. Dominique can find up to 5 different Nectars across Limbo.

Availability[]

Nectar is prepared through Johannes's alchemy menu in Arvantville, requiring 1 Ambrosia, 1 Beast Milk, 1 Butter, and 1 Flour and also requiring Ultimate Dish/R to have been collected in the south-central part of the Forbidden Underground Waterway reached by taking the west exit from the Hidden Desert late in the game.

Three of the ingredients are quite plain and can be gotten early in the game: Beast Milk is dropped by the Zagan in the Garden of Silence with an 8.00% drop rate, while Butter and Flour can be bought directly for 350G total. The sole "challenging" ingredient, the Ambrosia, is dropped by the Vul'sha in the Hidden Desert with a 6.00% drop rate. The recipe book can be easily collected by taking the Hidden Desert's west exit out, squarely defining this part of the game as when Nectars can first be farmed. To maximize the rate at which you get Ambrosia to drop, equip both Plunderer's Rings from the Galleon Minerva and the far west end of the Forbidden Underground Waterway (which requires the Deep Sinker shard from the Hidden Desert to reach).

Usage[]

Nectar is a consumable drink, restoring 1410 MP whenever used and giving a very hefty permanent bonus of Max MP +30, INT +1, MND +1, and 2 extra MP restored per second during MP Quickcharge state when first drunk. Though it technically does not restore "all MP", only a player who has thoroughly played the game, searched every nook and cranny for MP Max Ups, eaten every MP-increasing meal, and leveled Miriam to 99 will have slightly more of a maximum MP meter than 1410 MP, so Nectar is essentially a functional duplicate of the Ex Ether.

It would cost 4,700G to buy a Nectar and 5,000G to buy an Ex Ether, but the Nectar's potential to be vastly more useful as an MP restorative manifests in how you can farm Vul'shas in the Hidden Desert for Ambrosia and convert them (and Beast Milks) into Nectars, only having to spend 350G on one Butter and one Flour each time. Furthermore, you can carry up to 99 Nectars as opposed to three Ex Ethers.
