Bloodstained Wiki

Loli fashion for pretty sailors protecting truth and love, amidst sparkles and rainbows.

The Miri Dress is a Body Armor in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. It is part of the paid DLC "Magical Girl Cosmetic Pack", available from Update v.1.5.

Description[]

The Miri Dress gives INT +4, which is a big magical bonus, especially since it can be equipped from the very beginning of the game as it is already included within the player's inventory from the start.[1] Due to this, it can be a good Body Armor to wear, whether it is for exploring, as well as for fighting bosses, especially if the player mainly favors offensive Shards usage, although it also gives poor protection (DEF +3, MND +3), which while it could be useful at the very beginning of the game, it will soon be outclassed by other armors that provide better defenses. However, unlike most other armors in the game, the Miri Dress can be crafted to up to four more advanced versions of it, each stronger than the last, in order to keep its stats relatively steady when their required Materials first come available to the player. Noteworthy is that the Miri Dress will keep on raising the INT stat with most upgrades, still making it a good option to players that mainly use magical attacks.

Notes[]

  • Wearing the Miri Dress along with the rest of the "Magical Girl" set (Miri Wig and Communicator) will make Miriam's in-game model to glow with a purple aura and start sparkling. Additionally, the HUD will change to pastel colors and start sparkling too, and her portrait will change to her Magical Girl persona.
    • Wearing the complete set gives an additional INT +5 and MND +15 bonus.
  • This item is one of the few armors that change Miriam's in-game model.

Trivia[]

  • The "Magical Girl Cosmetic Pack" is likely a reference to the "Beautiful Girl" (bishōjo) trope commonly seen in manga and anime, in particular to the Sailor Moon series. This is further supported by the description of its pieces mentioning a "Justice Warrior" battling evil forces and "pretty sailors protecting truth and love", which are common catchphrases in the series, as well as its moon-themed scepter, and the extremely long ponytails of the headpiece, which heavily resemble the iconic hairstyle of the namesake main protagonist, Sailor Moon.
