Mephisto is the final boss of Episode 2 and Episode EX in Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2.

While Mephisto does not physically appear in the game, a statue of this demon can be spotted behind the baroque couch in the Save Rooms and in the Temples of Limbo in Classic II: Dominique's Curse.
Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2[]
Mephisto serves as the final boss of Episode 2. After the final battle of Episode 1 against Beelzebub, Mephisto slays the demon, then attacks the party in an orb of dark energy. Dominique defends the party at the cost of her own life, and they escape. At the end of Episode 2, it is revealed that Mephisto possessed the body of Dominique to take physical form. If Zangetsu has not obtained the Zanmatō, he fails to slay Mephisto, not willing to kill Dominique, leading into Episode EX. If he does have the Zanmatō, he cleaves Mephisto in two, leaving Dominique unharmed.
Mephisto's battle has two stages. In the first, giant spears fall and create platforms, and giant eyes surround him and fire energy balls at the party. Once all of the eyes have been destroyed, Mephisto himself fights. He begins by spewing poison on the ground, forcing the party to stay atop the spears. For the rest of the fight he attacks with pillars of light that erupt from below the party, and by firing fire and ice bolts from his hands.
