The current title is merely a placeholder.
Magic Points,[1] abbreviated as MP, is a stat in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. It is a cumulative stat that is used as a sort of ammunition to fuel the many spells available to the player in the game. Their main use is to limit the usage of magic or other special abilities.
Characteristics[]
MP regenerates naturally over time, although it does so at a very slow rate. Picking up Mana Roses regenerate this stat as well, although they do so for a determined amount, which tends to be a much faster way to replenish MP overall.
The player's maximum MP can be increased by finding items called MP Max Ups. Certain foods will also help the player to recover MP faster by increasing the MP Quickcharge stat: the Apple Juice, Strawberry Au Lait, Lemonade, Smoothie, Fruit Juice, Fish Hot Pot will increase +1 MP/s more for each dish consumed, and the Nectar will increase +2 MP/s. In total, the player can reach +9 MP/s - a lot if compared to the basic recovery of +1/s (see more at Supplies).
The Words of Wisdom Shard reduces all abilities' MP consumption. Using Gebel's Glasses allows the player to use Shards without MP consumption (although weapon Techniques still have MP costs) (see more at Accessories).
All playable characters across the main game and Boss Revenge Mode use MP for special attacks, although they have different maximum amounts by default and regenerate it at different rates.
Bloodless can also recover MP through Blood Steal and increase her passive regeneration rate by finding shards of Arcane Blood.
All HP and MP can be restored by visiting a Save Room with no cost to the player.
