Luck, abbreviated as LCK, is a statistic featured in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The higher the LCK stat, the more likely that an enemy will drop its items. It also may affect the frequency of Critical Hits, which deal higher damage to an enemy than normal. In addition to this, the LCK stat affects many other aspects in the game, basically increasing the probability for certain things to happen.

Description

The Luck (LCK) statistic basically increases the probability of certain things that are affected by it to happen more frequently. Since Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night heavily relies on randomly numbers generated (RNG), mainly for item farming, this stat plays a particularly important role in the game.

The player character will need to farm hundreds of items from enemies to then spend them on activities such as item crafting or food preparation at Johannes's laboratory in Arvantville. Crafting, in particular, involves usage of a plethora of materials (and/or other ingredients) to create either better weapons, better armors, other items like consumables, or even other materials/ingredients; all of this with the ultimate goal of increasing the player character's stats and make them more efficient in battle. The player will also have to frequently farm certain items required by Abigail during her questline, as well as farm ingredients to prepare foods for Susie during hers. Due to this, having the highest LCK stat value possible at all times is very advisable to raise the chances for these items to spawn.

As mentioned, LCK also affects many other things in the game. For example, it will increase the chance for the player to perform Critical Hits, which deal extra damage to enemies.

It also raises the probability for the player to create more items when using items or Shards that grant these abilities. For example, it will raise the chance for the player to prepare two (and up to four) foods while equipping the Apron. Likewise, it will let the player have a greater chance to craft two (and up to four) items when equipping the Alchemic Bounty shard.

The LCK stat can be raised by many means. Naturally, it will increase by 1 every time Miriam levels up four times. However, the main method is by equipping and using items. One of them is the Augment LCK shard, which at a higher Grade (i.e., more shards collected) will give greater chances for LCK based things to trigger. This shard can be obtained from Deathtraps, which can be easily farmed in the Inferno Cave and the Oriental Sorcery Lab.

Likewise, the LCK stat works well in conjunction with the Pickpocket shard, which increases the chance of occasionally stealing items from enemies during combat. This shard can be obtained from Gusions; the long room in the Underground Sorcery Lab (where the cutscene with Dominique takes place) has several glass containers holding Gusions inside, which can be broken to set them free, thus allowing for easy farming of this shard.

In Bloodless Mode, Bloodless can improve her LCK by finding shards of Blood of Fortune.

Because crafting is such an important mechanic in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the LCK stat is probably the single most important stat in the game, so knowing which items increase LCK is likewise very important.
