| ~ Description from Ritual of the Night |
The Light Elemental is an enemy in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
The Light Elemental is the second of the five "Elemental" enemies in the game. A strange gem-like figure with smaller crystals spinning around it. It floats around the room and eventually stops in order to shoot a series of rays of light at the player.
Like all the other Elementals, it flies a certain distance –either long or short– strictly in a straight line and then makes a brief stop to either fly to another location or perform an attack. Every time it stops, it has a chance to target the player for its next flight; it does this by actually targeting the direction the player is currently heading toward, which is the reason of its high success rate.
Also, like all the other Elementals, it drops the Passive Shard that gives resistance against its own element, in this case Resist Light. And likewise, it drops precisely the Material that is used to enhance it, in this case the Diamond, although at a very low rate (0.50%).
While Light Elementals are mainly found in the Dian Cécht Cathedral, these are relatively hard to farm due to the difficult terrain they are encountered in, which usually consist of series of small platforms along tall towers, while also being attacked by an unending horde of Dullahammer Heads, among other enemies. However, if the player stands on the back of a Zagan, this will get mad and immediately summon a Light Elemental for aid, process which can be repeated as much as required. A very easy to farm Zagan spawns alone in the Garden of Silence, in the room that leads to the Bridge of Evil, and just a couple of rooms right of this area's Save Room.
Trivia[]
- Like all the other Elementals, the Light Elemental's element is related to the area it is mainly encountered in, in this case the Dian Cécht Cathedral, a place associated with holiness.
- The Light Elemental is the only enemy in the entire game that has a drop with a non-whole rate value, with the Diamond having a 0.50% drop rate.
