The Kitsune Mask is a Head Armor in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
The Kitsune Mask is a good Head Armor that gives a decent DEF +13 and INT +5, the latter which will moderately increase the player's magical damage output. However, these stats may be considered ordinary by the time this headgear is acquired, and the player will likely have better options to wear by that point, so the Kitsune Mask may be better used just for character customization.
Availability[]
- Oriental Sorcery Lab: In the torii puzzle room (entering through the bottom-right entrance), enter the very first torii from the right side; this will teleport Miriam to the lower-left enclosed area, out from an upside-down torii; now, walk under this very same upside-down torii, jump and enter it by the right side; this will teleport Miriam past the torii located on the bottom-left corner of the room; exit here to reach a room with a green chest containing the Kitsune Mask.

- In Japanese folklore, kitsune are fox spirits that possess paranormal abilities. According to folklore, they can bewitch people and have the ability to shapeshift into human or other forms. While some folktales speak of kitsune employing these abilities to trick humans, other stories portray them as faithful guardians, friends, and lovers.
- Despite real kitsune masks usually being worn over the entire face, like most other masks, Miriam wears it on the top and the side of her head.
