Ippō Yamada (山田 一法 Yamada Ippō?) is a Japanese composer, sound producer and designer. He is a founding member of the Japanese game development studio Inti Creates. He is mostly known for his contributions to the original soundtrack of the Mega Man series, as well as his work on the Azure Striker Gunvolt series.

He composed music for all titles of the Bloodstained series.

Career[]

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture. Graduated from Chiba University Faculty of Science.

Ippō Yamada joined Capcom in 1993. After working on Super Street Fighter II (SFC) and Resident Evil (PS), he co-founded Inti Creates in 1996. Since then, he has been involved in sound production, production, voice supervision, and recording for the company. He also produces CDs for Inti Direct, produces music for characters (Morpho, RoRo, Luxia) appearing in the Azure Striker Gunvolt series, performs and produces live concerts such as Morpho Super Live and RoroRoke, produces music videos, and directed monster designs for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children White Book (GBC).

Notable works: Mega Man Zero (GBA, DS), Crayon Shin-chan (GBA, DS, 3DS), Mega Man ZX (DS), Mega Man 9: Return of the Drifter!!, Mega Man 10: The Power of Thrones!!, Azure Striker Gunvolt, Gal*Gun, Mighty No.9, Dragon Marked for Death, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, and others.

Outside of games, he is also active in his own band SENSORS, the unit "Spiceman" with manga artists Yoshihiro Iwamoto and Hitoshi Ariga, the band Jyunpaku RGB co-produced with voice actress Kaoru Akiyama, and as the fifth week personality of Satamani♪ (Rainbow Town FM) season 12.
