| “ | Reverses gravity's effect on you alone. | „ |
Invert is a Skill Shard in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
| “ | The concept is to play the inverted castle wherever and whenever! Feels like being a ninja. Only Miriam is able to invert gravity. | „ |
| ~ Backer Update #79 |
Pressing Down, Up, and Jump in succession will cause Miriam to invert gravity while she shouts "Invert!". During the inversion state, the entire level geometry will rotate 180° so as to maintain Miriam's upright position while reversing gravity's effect. Only Miriam's gravity is affected by this Skill Shard; all other stage elements, including enemies, dropped items, and objects, function as normal. The sole exception is if Miriam is holding an object using the Craftwork Shard, in which case it will be held relative to her but return to normal gravity (falling "upward") when she releases it. The command can be inputted again to return Miriam's gravity to normal.
Enhancing the Shard's Rank through Alchemy increases the invulnerability frames granted upon activating the Shard's effect.

Trivia[]
- The Shard's name and effect is a reference to the Reverse Castle (also called the Inverted Castle) featured in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, a major location where the entirety of Dracula's Castle is rotated 180°.
