The Infernal Fortress is a location in Classic II: Dominique's Curse. It is counted as the first dungeon and is the dwelling of Bathin, one of the four Dukes of Hell that rule Limbo.
Description[]
The Infernal Fortress stands between the Maw of Ouroboros to the left and Tartarus to the right. Though referred to as a dungeon, it is a wide building that more resembles a mansion without a cellar.
There are no bottomless pits in the building, but it features several staircases and moving platforms which nonetheless require platforming to traverse. Some of these lie over spikes that will damage Dominique if she falls in. The enemies here include fast-moving Mortes, Lance Armors, Ghosts, and Cannon Mortes.
At the far end of the Infernal Fortress, Dominique faces Bathin. Defeating him grants her the Accelerator, a Skill Shard that gives her a dash attack that leaves enemies temporarily more vulnerable to whip attacks.
The walls of the Infernal Fortress also contain the first four pages of the Logaeth. These can only be uncovered with the Block Breaker Shard acquired from Valefar. For that reason, a player aiming to complete the game quickly may prefer to defeat Valefar in the Clockwork Nightmare before exploring the Infernal Fortress.
