The Imbrued Skull is a Material in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Description[]

The Imbrued Skull shares several similarities with the Imbrued Bone and Imbrued Fang. All three are dropped by endgame-tier minibosses located in locked rooms you will have to find the keys for in separate zones. More than half of the endgame-tier recipes unlocked by the Legendary Equipment/R recipe book use one of these materials, and the bonus endgame zone, The Tunnels, randomly grants you these materials within its self-refilling blue chests. The Imbrued Skull, for its part, is dropped by the Revenant mini-boss at a 12% base rate; his locked room lies in the southwest corner of the first main outdoor screen of the Garden of Silence, and the Warhorse's Key that unlocks it is found in the room at the northwest corner of the Glacial Tomb.

The Imbrued Skull is used in the crafting of two legendary weapons and, uniquely for an Imbrued material, an armor unlocked by an earlier recipe book. The armor in question is the Tatenashi, which offers even higher DEF than the commonly accepted "ultimate body armor," the Coronation Gown, as well as resistances to all physical damage attributes. Even though the recipe book is Crimsonite Equipment/R, which is found in the Oriental Sorcery Lab, the requirement of both the Imbrued Skull and two Orichalcums from the Glacial Tomb's local G Axe Outsiders squarely places its availability at the very end of the game. By then, you can also craft the arguably superior, more general-purpose Coronation Gown. The other materials used, a Crimsonite and an Eastern Fabric, are also acquired in the Oriental Sorcery Lab.

As for legendary weapons, the first is the Andromeda Whip, which is "upgraded" out of an Albireo whip (itself upgraded out of a Beast Killer whip using an Imbrued Skull, two Water Horse Manes, and an Ice Ring) using a Diamond findable in blue chests in the Den of Behemoths and two Dragon's Wraths dropped by Abyssal Guardians in the same zone. The second legendary weapon crafted using an Imbrued Skull is the Adrasteia firearm, which is "upgraded" out of a Verethragna firearm using two Orichalcums. (The Verethragna is itself a Crimsonite-based upgrade of the Gold-based Betelgeuse firearm.)

An Imbrued Skull is also one of the materials needed to raise the fourth tier of the free DLC weapon Risky Pistol to its fifth and final tier, bringing its Attack rating up 5 points to 26; this is the same ATK rating as the Adrasteia, albeit on a firearm that does not share the Adrasteia's (at times unwieldy) homing laser shots.
