Bloodstained Wiki

A bone steeped in blood.

The Imbrued Fang is a Material in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. It is dropped only by the optional boss Millionaire's Bane, and is used as a component in a number of endgame recipes.

Description[]

The Imbrued Fang shares several similarities with the Imbrued Bone and Imbrued Skull. All three are dropped by endgame-tier minibosses located in locked rooms you will have to find the keys for in separate zones. More than half of the endgame-tier recipes unlocked by the Legendary Equipment/R recipe book use one of these materials, and the bonus endgame zone, The Tunnels, randomly grants you these materials within its self-refilling blue chests. The Imbrued Fang, for its part, is dropped by the Millionaire's Bane mini-boss at a 12% base rate; its locked room lies in the Hall of Termination, and the Millionaire's Key that unlocks it is found in the Den of Behemoths' largest screen.

The Imbrued Fang is used in the crafting of three legendary weapons that are arguably among the most iconic in the game. The Blue Rose, an ice-aligned sword that official art often depicts Miriam wielding, uses an Imbrued Fang to "fuse" one of each "elemental sword": the Florenberg, Almace, and Caladbolg. Each component sword is separately upgraded out of a Hofud (itself a sword crafted mainly out of hard-to-find Gold materials from blue chests in the Hidden Desert), and all three are also "fused" into a separate legendary sword called Ridill. To save on the tedium of crafting multiple Hofuds, a duplicate of one of these crafted legendary swords can be purchased and then Dismantled into the three elemental swords so that the other legendary sword can be crafted; it is recommended to start with the Blue Rose and then dismantle a separately bought Blue Rose because you will additionally gain another Imbrued Fang.

The second legendary weapon the Imbrued Fang enables is the Eternal Blue, an ice-aligned greatsword sporting the highest Attack rating of all weapons. After fusing the easy-to-acquire "elemental greatswords" Lohengrin, Schedar, and Steel Lightning into the already-endgame-usable Durandal, that can then be "upgraded" into a Dies Irae, which can in turn be upgraded into an Eternal Blue using an Imbrued Fang and two Orichalcums from blue chests (and the G Axe Outsider) in the Glacial Tomb.

The third and final legendary weapon involving an Imbrued Fang in its construction is the sword Rhava Velar, which deals a flurry of rapid strikes with every attack. It is created out of four Rhava Búrals and four Sharp Razors, both dropped by the early Killer Barber enemies in Dian Cécht Cathedral, as well as a Crimsonite found in Oriental Sorcery Lab.

An Imbrued Fang is also one of the materials needed to raise the fourth tier of the DLC weapon Risky Blade to its fifth and final tier, bringing its Attack rating up 8 points to 50. The other materials needed are a Dragon Heart dropped by the Abyssal Guardians in the Den and an Alexandrite found in blue chests in both the Den and the Tomb.

Availability[]

The Millionaire's Bane is found in a locked room in the Hall of Termination, requiring a key found in the Den of Behemoths to open. Imbrued Fangs have a 12.00% base chance to drop when the Millionaire's Bane is defeated. This increases to 100.00% if Millionaire's Bane destroys itself by hitting a jackpot (three 7s) during its reel-spin attack.

The player can duplicate Imbrued Fangs by using Alchemic Bounty while crafting weapons that use them: this can potentially create up to four copies of a weapon the player has materials to make one of (using a ma×ed-out Skill Shard and Passive Shard equipped at the same time), and the duplicates dismantled with Alkahest to get more Imbrued Fangs.

Since Update v.1.4, Imbrued Fangs can also be found as random drops from blue chests in The Tunnels.

Trivia[]

  • "Imbrued" is an archaic term essentially identical in meaning to "bloodstained".
