Head Flail is a Conjure Shard in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Description[]

Miriam swings a large Dullahammer head as a manner of a giant spiked ball, attacking enemies that are both in front and behind her. Increasing its Rank makes the head much larger and increases its reach both in length and wideness, and increasing its Grade (i.e., by collecting more copies) greatly increases its damage output. Costs 25 MP.

Head Flail is a great Conjure Shard that can be acquired in the very first area of the game, the Galleon Minerva. It is dropped by Dullahammers; an easy to farm Dullahammer is found just a couple of rooms from both Vepar's boss room and a Save Room, allowing the player to restock on MP to easily defeat and farm the Dullahammer.

Besides being easy to use, Head Flail is also remarkably easy to enhance, as its required Materials are usually easy to come by. It can be fully upgraded as soon as the player obtains the Double Jump shard in the Livre Ex Machina (which allows the player to farm Damascus from the Axe Outsider at the Entrance).

All these traits in conjunction make the Head Flail a good shard to use for the rest of the game; and its versatility, ease of use, and low MP cost can also make it a good alternative for the player's main attack.
