~ Description from Ritual of the Night |
Haagenti is an enemy in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Origins[]
Haagenti is a Great President of Hell, ruling thirty-three legions of demons. He makes men wise by instructing them in every subject, transmutes all metals into gold, and changes wine into water and water into wine. Haagenti is depicted as a big bull with the wings of a griffin, changing into a man under request of the conjurer.
Description[]
A recolored version of Zagan. It attacks by breathing out a long fume cloud that petrifies the player on contact. It also can charge forward, and invert itself upside down and walk on ceilings. It can be stepped upon on its back (by both the player and enemies) without dealing damage, which can be used as an impromptu platform to reach higher platforms.
The Haagenti also drops the valuable Bovine Plume, whose usage opens many useful abilities and powers to the player, like finally being able to craft the High Jump shard, fully enhance the Optimizer shard and turn it into a Skill Shard, and enhancing the Double Jump and High Jump shard for more invincibility frames, among other uses.
It also drops the Flying Beef, which allows preparing the final dishes in the game (one of them being the Exquisite Steak, which in turn also allows to finish Susie's questline).
Trivia[]
- The design and attack patterns of this enemy are likely based on the Gorgon from the Castlevania franchise.
