A Golem is a large enemy made of stone, ice, gold, or volcanic rock that is encountered in Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon and Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2. Every Golem encountered, save for the volcanic rock variant, can slam their fists on the ground to create a short-ranged shockwave that inflicts damage to the player. Depending on the variant, the shockwave created may be made of the same element. Most Golems that can be hit have about 3 (or 4) hit points.
Types of Golems[]
Stone Golem[]
The Stone Golem is the first of the Golem-type enemies encountered in the game, first appearing in Moonlight Temptation. The golem will raise its fist and then slam it on the ground, creating a stone shockwave.
Ice Golem[]
The Ice Golem is only encountered in the Frigid Hell. Upon slamming on the ground, shockwaves made up of icicles are created. This enemy reappears in The Queen's Dirge, where its attack pattern remains the same.
Golden Golem[]
The Golden Golem is summoned by Valefor to assist him during his boss battle in The Brilliant Void. Like its predecessors, the golem will slam the ground to create a shockwave, only this time it launches gold coins.
Volcanic Golem[]
The Volcanic Golem is a unique variant encountered in Blasphemy Unto Heaven. What makes this type unique is that, unlike its counterparts, this golem will set itself ablaze, rendering it impervious to all attacks. Using Gebel's Bat Form allows the party to bypass this enemy while in this state. Alternatively, Alfred's Frostcaliber spell can freeze the golem, allowing it to be destroyed.
Iron Golem[]
The Iron Golem is a large man-made creature of steel, with a cannon on its back and a knight's visor on its face. This particular type of Golem is different from the others due to its cannon. When approached, the Iron Golem opens its mouth to reveal a set of sharp teeth (an eye for the blue variant) and launches a cannonball to the ground that detonates and creates a short-ranged wave of fire. The blue variant is capable of the same attack, but the fire wave has a longer range and it is able to change the cannonball's trajectory.
