Bloodstained Wiki

Goetia is a location in Classic II: Dominique's Curse. It is a town located near the center of the demonic realm, bordered by the Asphodel Steppe to the right and the Sheol Foothills to the left.

Description[]

This is where Dominique's adventure begins after she is banished to Limbo following the events of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The town is located on flat terrain with no environmental hazards except a pool of water which will kill Dominique if she falls in and does not have the Deep Sinker equipped.

During the New Moon, the demons living in this town explain basic facts about Limbo, including the fact that they are docile during this phase but turn hostile during the Dead Moon, which is Limbo's equivalent to night. The local Merchant sells her the Runes, which increase the power of her main attack, as well as the Backstep and Dagger Shards. Goetia also has an apprentice Groundskeeper who will give Dominique Coins in exchange for demon Remains; in most later towns, Hunter demons will move in and offer this service after they are defeated.

Dialogue[]

Red text is presented as such by the True Sight.

  • Lili: "Welcome to Limbo. Sometimes a human soul ends up lost here, but it's mainly just us demons. Looking for some advice?"'
  • Lili: "Sniff... Oh, you're cursed huh? It's never a good night for that.
  • Rul'sha: "Demons in towns are more civilized, so a human like you should be safe. ...Until the Dead Moon that is. We all lose our heads a bit during that phase."'
  • Lili: "You know, my favorite part of Limbo is that us demons never lie." (followed by laughter)
  • Sabnock: "King Bael rules over Limbo. If you want to return home, I'm sure they would listen to your case." (followed by laughter)
  • Sabnock: "Every town has a Temple to save your progress, and a Merchant where you can purchase supplies."
  • Rul'sha: "At the far end of Tartarus, stretch up real tall to reach the crypt below." (followed by laughter)
  • Groundskeeper: "I'm an apprentice, so I don't have a Dungeon yet. Just this attic."
  • Merchant: "You here to buy something? If you're low on cash, look for a Groundskeeper."
