The Giant Dullahammer Head is an enemy in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. It was first introduced as a boss in Classic Mode and later added in Update 1.4. as regular enemies exclusively found in The Tunnels.

Appearances[]

Ritual of the Night[]

Giant Dullahammer Heads are common enemies in The Tunnels secret stage that was added to the game in the "Journey" Update 1.4. They are much more resilient and deal more damage than their normal-sized counterparts, and they proportionately fly much slower, allowing for easy combat against them. However, like with their original version, they can suddenly enter the screen from a nearby room's edge, so it is advised to be on the lookout for them while exploring these areas.

Classic Mode[]

A single Giant Dullahammer Head appears as a boss fight in Classic Mode, where it is seen detaching from a proportionally sized Dullahammer in the background of Stage 2. The Giant Dullahammer Head begins the battle by floating across the floor in an attempt to ram the player, which is avoidable by jumping. After reaching the other side of the room, it summons a group of common Dullahammer Heads to fly in from both directions while the boss performs its next attacks: it fires a purple, petrifying laser and then repeatedly slams itself onto the floor on its way back to where it initiated the battle. Unlike most of the other bosses, the Giant Dullahammer Head is vulnerable to the effects of the Time Shard, being stopped in time whenever it is used.

The Giant Dullahammer Head's body spends the battle waiting in the background and perishes as well upon the head's defeat.

Notes[]

  • This enemy doesn't have an entry in the "Demons" section of the "Archives" menu. As such, it neither has an identifying number in the bestiary nor an in-game description.
