The Gargoyle Stone is a Material in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
The Gargoyles that start appearing before the Craftwork boss in lower Dian Cécht Cathedral drop Gargoyle Stones at a fairly high 10% base rate, but their only immediate function is to add the middle three ranks to the Craftwork manipulative shard the boss drops. This shard is normally only used for moving block-like objects out of the way, but advancing it through its first three ranks using Cannon Scraps gives it attacking capability that increases its damage with each further rank.
Once you defeat Bathin in the Underground Sorcery Lab, if you find Damascus Equipment/R using Reflector Ray followed by a midair jump, it becomes possible to use a Gargoyle Stone and the common midgame materials Damascus and Mithril to create the Murgleis, a fairly underpowered sword that can inflict Stone status. However, the Black Pepper that can be found in the blue chests in the Underground Sorcery Lab will allow you to complete and get past Susie Quinn's eighth food quest, and her tenth quest will give you a Murgleis for "free." This makes crafting a Murgleis redundant.
Very late in the game, the Haagenti in the Oriental Sorcery Lab can drop the Petra Breath directional shard. Each of the eight rank advancements you can put the shard through increases the spray's coverage and takes one Gargoyle Stone, with the middle three ranks taking an additional unit of Chair Remnants and the last two ranks taking an additional Dark Matter. This is what you would be spending the majority of your Gargoyle Stones on.
If you have the paid DLC "Japanesque Cosmetic Pack" installed, the Sakura Storm conjure shard can have its middle three ranks advanced through by using a total of three Gargoyle Stones and three Poison items, increasing its coverage.
