~ Description from Ritual of the Night |
Gargoyle is an enemy in the Bloodstained series.
Appearances[]
Ritual of the Night[]
Unlike most classic depictions of gargoyle-type enemies in video games, the Gargoyle in Ritual of the Night features a single and large eye that makes up for most of its body, with the eye itself contained within the mouth of the creature. They are often found stationary and asleep until the player approaches them. Once they detect the player, they awaken and attack by slowly hovering toward them, being capable of flying through walls and reach them wherever they are in the room.
Curse of the Moon 2[]
These creatures sport a different look in Curse of the Moon 2. While their behavior remains the same, they wake up every once in a while to spit out a fireball before returning to being a statue. A marble variant of the Gargoyle can launch a larger and much faster fireball when the player is unfortunate enough to get close to it.
