Galleon Minerva is a location in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. It is where Miriam had first woken up from a decade-long coma and begins her adventure. It is an old and haunted galleon depicted as sailing through a heavy rainstorm. Miriam and Johannes were riding it to Arvantville when demonic forces broke in as they neared their destination.

Progression[]

Being the zone where the player begins a playthrough of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, it is a fairly linear and simple zone filled with tutorial elements, cutscenes, and chests containing basic items. It will eventually lead to a boss battle at the northeast edge of the zone, which will open the way to the main hub of the game, Arvantville.

Once you have acquired the Double Jump from early Livre Ex Machina, you are strongly encouraged to return to the Galleon's lower-right "cargo hold" and use its jump kick attack to rebound off a Dullahammer and reach a platform above it. Behind a green chest containing a Sanjiegun is a breakable wall that rewards you with the first Plunderer's Ring, which is extremely useful for making enemies drop their various items more frequently. Double Jump also lets you reach the rooms above your original start point, which includes the zone's Warp Room.

The last treasure in Galleon Minerva is Hair Apparent XII, way up in the northeast corner of the left deck space. This requires using Invert gotten from the boss in the Inferno Cave much later in the game (or crafting High Jump even later).

Bloodless Mode[]

Bloodless is unique among the playable characters in that she does not start in this area, but must reach it by passing through Arvantville and defeating Vepar. Consequently, all tutorial text is removed and Vepar never appears as a background enemy. This area is where Bloodless finds the Wind Demon's Blood, a movement upgrade that although not strictly required for progression, makes traversal of areas such as the Garden of Silence easier, thusly allowing easier passage to the Towers of Twin Dragons.

Blood Shards[]

  • Blood of Brutality × 1
  • Blood of Tenacity × 1
  • Wind Demon's Blood

Aurora Mode[]

Aurora begins in this area, and her first trip through it is similar to Miriam's. She can explore the area in its entirety here once she has defeated Craftwork and gained the ability to fly. However, she has little reason to do so aside from map completion, as there are no Shards or collectible items to be found aside from enemy drops.
