Forneus Filet is a food ingredient in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Only one enemy drops Forneus Filet: the Forneus, which have an 8% chance to drop it on defeat. They are located solely in the Forbidden Underground Waterway; three can be found in the Waterway's entrance off the Entrance's drawbridge. Conventional wisdom suggests you can only start collecting the Forneus Filets they drop with the help of the Aqua Stream shard gotten as of the later, post-Blood Steal portion of Forbidden Underground Wateray.
However, the lone Forneus swimming closest to the transition screen connecting to the Entrance's drawbridge area can be coaxed into an enclosed area where its drops will land on a layer of rock right below it, which can be reached without any extra movement abilities. This allows you to cook several of the meals involving Forneus Filet at various earlier points (though generally no earlier than when you can first use Double Jump to collect Fish Dish/R and Curry Dish/R).

Like almost all ingredients, Forneus Filet is only useful for preparing Food via Johannes's alchemy menu in Arvantville.

- Forneus in Garlic (Forneus Filet ×1, Garlic ×1, Butter ×1, Flour ×1)
- Simmered Forneus (Forneus Filet ×1, Soy Sauce ×1, Sugar ×1)
- Fish Hot Pot (Forneus Filet ×1, Aquatic Filet ×1, Consommé ×1, Soy Sauce ×1)
- Seafood Curry (Forneus Filet ×1, Curry Sauce ×1, Rice ×1)
Forneus Filet is also required for preparing ingredients for the following:

Forneus Filet is not used in any Shard enhancements. It takes at least 7 Forneus Filet to prepare everything in the game, with all seven being base ingredients.
