Food Materials are components used for preparing food. In other words, they are ingredients. The first time a food item is consumed, it will give a permanent bonus to Miriam's stats. The Food Materials that can be crafted (like Butter, Cheese, etc) will be sold in Dominique's shop once the player has crafted them at least once.
