An elegant feather.

The Flight Feather is a Material in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Description[]

The Ocypete positioned in specific large areas in the upper reaches of Dian Cécht Cathedral is extremely useful to farm in general, a large part of it being the Optimizer shard it can drop. This passive shard adds ATK to all of your weapon strikes as it is ranked up, and you can immediately elevate its rank to 7 by first spending three Thunderbird Plumes (dropped by the earlier Celaeno in Towers of Twin Dragons) and then spending three Flight Feathers (dropped by the Ocypete at a 5% base rate). Then, very late in the game, spending two Bovine Plumes (dropped by the Haagenti in Oriental Sorcery Lab) elevates it to Rank 9 and creates a Skill Shard duplicate of it, heavily improving your damage output regardless of what is equipped in your Passive Shard slot.

Another useful function of Flight Feathers is that three of them are spent to enhance the endgame-exclusive Accelerator manipulative shard to Rank 4, increasing its already prodigious speed boost and enabling further rank-ups with other materials. Many more Flight Feathers will be needed to enhance various other shards, such as the final two ranks of the Aello's Gale Crawler, the middle three ranks of the Macaron's Toxic Storm, and all ranks of the Kamikaze's Tornado Slicer; all three shards increase their coverage as they are ranked. Two more are incidentally needed to "upgrade" the particularly unique Flying Edge weapon (found in Towers of Twin Dragons) into the Oracle Blade, which becomes available once you have gotten a Crimsonite and two Demon Wings to drop in the Oriental lab.
