The Feather Robe is a Body Armor in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
The Feather Robe provides a decent DEF +30, as well as a moderate INT +3 to slightly enhance magical damage dealt to enemies. While at first, this Body Armor may seem to be nothing out of the ordinary, it features the special effect of enhancing knockback from enemy attacks; as such, when the player is hit by an enemy while wearing this piece, they will be sent flying much farther away.
This effect could have its uses, like sending the player away from enemies after being hit by them, potentially landing on a safer spot where they can take more time to properly fight back or even escape. However, arguably most of the times this effect could end up being counterproductive to the player, as the enhanced knockback could uncontrollably send them toward dangerous spots, or knock them off a high place after having taking the effort to climb it. Furthermore, they could be sent flying toward other enemies, and these in turn could send them toward yet other enemies, or even worse, an environmental hazard like a spiked pit, turning what could initially have been just a minor setback into a life or death situation.
As such, the Feather Robe should probably only be used as a minor amusement, but neither for normal exploration nor combat.
