A Familiar Shard (Green Shard) is a type of Shard that are featured in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. They allow Miriam to call forth a Familiar ally to aid her in fighting enemies.
Description[]
Familiars obtain EXP points whenever they are active and do not consume MP, allowing them to stay at Miriam's side for as long as the player desires.

Aurora[]
Although Johannes confirms that she is not a Shardbinder, Aurora can use a selection of Familiar Shards. All except Igniculus are her friends from Lemuria who have been turned into demons by a curse. Achieving Max grade and Max rank for all shards, including the Familiar Shards, is necessary to obtain 100% completion with Aurora.
