Not to be confused with Horus Eye.

A monocle that lets you look down on the world like a bird.

The Eye of Horus is an Accessory in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Description[]

Wearing the Eye of Horus will zoom out the screen, allowing the player to see more of their surroundings while in consequence also making everything look smaller. Besides the graphical amusement this may bring, it actually has a few practical uses. Due to the increased field of view, the player will be able to see enemies sooner and at a distance, giving them more time to devise better strategies to take them on, and Familiars will also be able to detect and attack them sooner.

This Accessory becomes especially useful while exploring the outdoor sections of the Towers of Twin Dragons, allowing the player to see and react against all surrounding enemies sooner, while also letting them to better see and study the level's layout, which becomes especially useful during sections where precise platforming is required, such as when jumping on giant rotating gears or on a series of collapsing platforms. This is to say nothing of how much more easily the Scythe Mites in the outdoor sections spawn while the player's camera is zoomed out because of this item.

The Eye of Horus is rewarded by Abigail for completing her "In Memory of Norah" quest by bringing her a Flame Ring, which requires crafting a Ruby. Rubies are rarely dropped by Buer Armors, although the player may have a better chance to get one by farming Rul'shas in the Livre Ex Machina, meaning that in most playthroughs, they will only be able to wear the Eye of Horus during their second visit to the Towers of Twin Dragons, after acquiring the Double Jump shard in the Livre Ex Machina.

  • The Eye of Horus cannot be worn with the Dance Mask.

Trivia[]

  • The Eye of Horus is a concept and symbol in ancient Egyptian religion that represents well-being, healing, and protection. It derives from the mythical conflict between the god Horus with his rival Set, in which Set tore out or destroyed one or both of Horus's eyes, and the eye was subsequently healed or returned to Horus.
