Eight Bit Ghost is an enemy in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Description[]
A flying eye surrounded by a ghostly aura modeled in an 8-bit style. The Eight Bit Ghost suddenly materializes out of thin air when the player steps on its triggering spot within the secret Eight Bit Nightmare level and then slowly flies toward them. It deals moderate damage on contact and is notably resilient, usually requiring more than two hits to go down.
The first times, only one Eight Bit Ghost will appear, but further into the level they'll start spawning in formations of two or three at the same time, each on a different spot and covering more area this way. Their triggering spots can even be found on both the lower and upper paths of the level, meaning that the player can potentially end up fighting more than one formation of these enemies within the same screen.
It is the only source of the Summon 8-bit Ghost Conjure Shard in the game.
Trivia[]
- Just like the Ghost, the design and attack patterns of this enemy are likely based on the Ghost (as well as certain flying eyeball monsters) from the Castlevania franchise.
